AgION™ : The Inside Story of Kleen Aide
AgION™ antimicrobial compound is the world's most
advanced inorganic antimicrobial. Its active
ingredient is silver, which has been used for
centuries as an effective antimicrobial. Silver
ions are slowly released from the antimicrobial
compound to the surface of the treated steel,
inhibiting the growth of a broad array of bacteria, molds and fungi.
Of course, AgION™ antimicrobial-coated steels are
not intended to replace good hygiene. Coated
products must still be cleaned to ensure the
surfaces will be free of destructive microbes.
